Q&AWith Director Edoardo Zucchetti and
Michael Spyres To Follow |
"Michael Spyres OverKnight Success began as an independent film after 65 days of a very hectic shooting on a "Benvenuto Cellini"
staging by Terry Gilliam in which Michael was the protagonist and Edoardo the last of the assistants, but with the camera always in
hand.
The meeting point is the shared passion by both for the works that document the life of great rock stars, from the Rolling Stones to
Oasis via Amy and Bob Dylan: why not show the rock life of an opera singer in the same way?
With a Sony camera in hand, a Rode microphone, multiple blurred shots and various forays into the hitherto unknown world of opera,
the result turns out as a road movie, a documentary, a bridge between the artistic universe of melodrama and that of cinema."
